National Review's Noah Glyn noted that the speech sounded conservative, and was based on personal responsibility...
Like this little gem:
"...keep setting an example for what it means to be a man...be the best husband to your wife, or your boyfriend, or your partner..."
Wait what?
"...keep setting an example for what it means to be a man...be the best husband...to your boyfriend..."

Sure, he led a feckless life as a callow youth. He experimented (a lot) before he ended up with the masculine Mrs. Obama.
The only one of his flings to really come out of the closet was the one with Larry Sinclair - but he and Larry cut a pretty wide swath dealing cocaine and what not.
Larry wrote a book, spoke at the National Press Club about his life as Barack's lover -- but the fourth estate still kept it from the limelight.
It's nice to own the press.
Ewwwwwww
There's a little too much unmanly closeness there.
