Say It Ain't So...

Leaked War Files Bolster Suspicion of Iranian Ties to Extremists

"WASHINGTON — Cooperation among Iran, Al Qaeda and other Sunni extremist groups is more extensive than previously known to the public, according to details buried in the tens of thousands of military intelligence documents released by an independent group Sunday."

"The apparent links are striking because Iran has historically been a foe of the Taliban, who generally view the followers of Shiite Islam — Iran's predominant faith — as heretics. "

Once again I must revert to my Cleveland vernacular..."Is you serious!?" It is fantasy-land-wishful-thinking (usually on the part of liberals who want to believe that there is some morally equivalent theological glitch, or technical error that has caused only some Muslims, 'militants' or 'extremists', to hate us) to delineate between Sunnis and Shiites when it comes to the "war on terror."

Could you imagine reading a newspaper article in Iran..."Amazingly, some of the Zionist baby eating American soldiers killed in Afghanistan had metallic tags around their necks designating them as 'Lutheran,' while others were marked 'Baptist.' Only Satan could be behind a merging of these separate groups against the land of the holy crescent...."

See Last Post...

...I hate to say I told you so. I told you so.

The "racism" of her past was real. But it was not what bothered me, and it should not have been the story. Why is she talking about it? Allegedly she was explaining, to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, that her past racist attitude was wrong. Again, I'm not interested.

I AM interested in the fact that she was appointed to the job after, or as a result of, or related to, her LAWSUIT AGAINST THE USDA. People sue their employer all the time, but she didn't sue the USDA as an employee, she was appointed to her job subsequently. If you saw a movie like this you would say, "Yah right, only in Hollywood." Farmer sues Department of Agriculture for general discrimination based on race...it gets held up in the courts...lawyers are getting all the money...and then word comes, Barack to save the day..."M'am, they'd like to settle, and oh by the way, how about a cushy high-paying job with benefits?" (This is not her fault, and she shouldn't be the story, the story should be about why the government gets involved in everybody's business, it becomes a crutch, which then teaches you to forget to walk.)

I AM interested in the fact that she now advertises to audiences that nobody ever gets fired or laid off from a government job. THAT should be grounds for termination. Incompetence, lack of performance - those should be reasons for getting fired, but BRAGGING ABOUT THE FACT THAT IT DOESN'T HAPPEN - seems worse to me.

The Law States...

New Mexico Will Now Host Border Governors Meeting

Published July 15, 2010
Associated Press

SANTA FE, N.M. -- New Mexico will host a meeting of U.S. and Mexican border governors, providing a new venue for a conference that was scrapped in Arizona because of a dispute over its new immigration enforcement law.

However, the governors of Arizona and Texas will not attend the rescheduled meeting.

The meeting will be held in Santa Fe in late September, according to Gilbert Gallegos, a spokesman for Democratic Gov. Bill Richardson.

The governors of six Mexican states are expected to attend, he said Thursday.

"Obviously, all border governors are welcome and encouraged to attend, although the governors of Arizona and Texas have said they are not interested in joining a dialogue with their border colleagues," Gallegos said in a statement.

Richardson's announcement of the border governors' meeting came as a federal judge in Phoenix considered a lawsuit against the Arizona law, which takes effect July 29 unless blocked by a court.

The law requires police, while enforcing other laws, to question a person's immigration status if officers have a reasonable suspicion that the person is in the country illegally.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, called off the meeting in Phoenix after the Mexican governors planned to boycott it because of Arizona's new immigration law.

The Mexican governors said in a June letter that Arizona's law violated civil rights and they suggested moving the conference to another state.
...Mexican governors said Arizona's law violated civil rights? Do you know what it is like in Mexico regarding police questioning somebody regarding their immigration status?
Google it:
Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets "the
equilibrium of the national demographics," when foreigners are deemed
detrimental to "economic or national interests," when they do not behave like
good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when "they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy." (Article 37)

In one six-month period from September 2008 through February 2009, at
least 9,758 migrants were kidnapped and held for ransom in Mexico — 91 of them
with the direct participation of Mexican police, a report by the National Human
Rights Commission said. Other migrants are routinely stopped and shaken down for bribes, it said.

In 2008, Mexico softened the punishment for illegal immigrants, from a maximum
10 years in prison to a maximum fine of $461. Most detainees are taken to
detention centers and put on buses for home.

Mexican law calls for six to 12 years of prison and up to $46,000 in fines for anyone who shelters or transports illegal immigrants. The (Mexico) Supreme Court ruled in 2008 that the law applies only to people who do it for money.
...Americans are generally, not harassed by the police - because they are tourists spending money. However, as a Guatemalan, one that passes through Mexico to take money home from the United States. Believe me, Mexican police know what a Guatemalteco looks like.

Man Opens Fire on Fake FBI Agents...

...that's awesome! Does anybody remember the Florida "castle doctrine"? In 2005, Florida rejoined the free world where a person can defend their house (presumably because that is the one place where you should be totally safe).

...So these burglars, or potential robbers (yes, there is a difference) are breaking into the house dressed as FBI Agents, and the homeowner opens fire on them.

Unfortunately this scenario (minus the victim taking action) has become a familiar scenario in Florida, Texas, and Arizona. Sometimes the victims are illegal immigrants, and the bad guys know they will think they are real police, or FBI, and they won't resist. Sometimes the bad guys just don't want neighbors calling the police during the burglary - why would you call the police, they are already there.

Anyway...if bad guys thought people were armed in their houses, less bad guys would enter other people's houses...

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad...

...World:

1) Last Friday, in the middle of the season, the defending World Series Champions, who are in first place, almost traded for one of MLB's best pitchers. Its like the Harlem Globetrotters taking the best player from the Washington Generals. At halftime. When the Globetrotters are winning.

2) Yesterday, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People - voted to condemn the Tea Party movement for racism. That's right, an organization of almost unanimously one race, with the words "colored people" in their title - 'condemned' a MOVEMENT of people of all races, which is based on lowering taxes and limiting government - of racism. It gives me an idea though, I could sue Chrysler for not making breakfast cereal.

3) A hearing was held in New York City in reference to Muslims trying to build a multi-million dollar mosque at Ground Zero. Ground Zero, a term now recognized as meaning the center of the attack on America by Muslims. A Muslim at the hearing was quoted as saying, "...the landmark discussion had been hijacked. This has been made by a very vocal minority into an issue of bigotry...I'm standing in a hall in which I feel ashamed to be an American." I believe if the article were written in the middle east, it would go something like this: 'A hearing was held in Istanbul yesterday, a Christian stood up to discuss something. The crowd removed his head, and the meeting continued.'

4) "The Helena Public Schools Board of trustees faced a large and emotionally charged crowd at its meeting Tuesday night as it considers whether to begin its sexual education curriculum in kindergarten." There's more to it, but my blood is boiling and I can't type it.

5) In conjunction with the revelation that Obama ordered NASA to focus on efforts to reach out to predominantly Muslim countries and make them feel good about scientific contributions of Muslims from a time before those countries were countries...it was revealed that Club GITMO is actually, Club GITMO.

Update...

...this appeared in a FoxNews.com article:

The Bush Justice Department brought the first case against three members of the group, accusing them in a civil complaint of violating the Voter Rights Act. The Obama administration initially pursued the case, winning a default judgment in federal court in April 2009 when the Black Panther members did not appear in court. But then the administration moved to dismiss the charges the following month after getting one of the New Black Panther members to agree to not carry a "deadly weapon" near a polling place until 2012.

...don't we all remember seeing this:

...well there was an investigation. I don't know who conducted it, but the investigation was halted by the Department of Justice, and when a congressional committee tried to figure out what was going on, a DOJ Lawyer involved in the investigation was forbidden from testifying on the matter. He is now talking.

What a surprise, his story is being told only on Fox News and talk radio. READ THIS ARTICLE. Some interesting quotes:

"The only white people at the scene that day appeared to be the Republican poll watchers. And Fox News host Megyn Kelly inaccurately described video taken of the incident as made by a “voter.” In fact, the video was made by Stephen Robert Morse, a blogger hired by the local Republican Party on behalf of the John McCain presidential campaign."

...uh - the video SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. The guy identified himself as a "member of the media," and the calls were made by REPUBLICAN POLL WATCHERS! This is the reason there are poll watchers!!!

"Adams has also written a piece for the American Spectator that likened President Barack Obama’s world view to that of Nazi appeasers and argued on a conservative blogging network that health care reform is a threat to liberty."

...uh - Obama's world view IS LIKE THAT OF NAZI APPEASERS...hello - the Munich Pact...Chamberlain, "Peace in our time,"... kinda sounds like wanting to sit down and talk with Iran, whom with we do not currently have diplomatic relations...and the "health care reform" that congress passed IS a threat to liberty when people are NOT FREE to not pay for health insurance!!!

You're Invited...

...one thing we have in the Midwest, and now on the East Coast - is frozen custard and ice cream stands everywhere. They look like Mom&Pop places (which I love, rather than those corporate, profit driven monstrosities, probably supported by right-wing capitalists!). You would have thought that there would be one on every corner in Arizona. Nope. Maybe it melts too fast out there? I think actually, in Arizona, it is just one big city. Back here, its little towns, and these little shops are cash-cows for the families that run them (but of course, they're not in it for the money)...

So I was reading about the Vice President, and his latest I-can-say-anything-and-not-be-called-stupid-like-Bush gaffe, and I found that it was made here:

KOPP'S FROZEN CUSTARD

So hurry off to Wisconsin, and your first cone is on me! (If you eat in in a cone?)
