"Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the government's purposes are beneficial. Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers. The greater dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding." - Louis Brandeis
First, I don't consider Bush a conservative by any stretch and there are things he did while in office that were simply not right.
However when compared to Obama, I want to find GW and kiss his foot. You can't explain that to a liberal, but then again, you can't explain much to them. It's a lot like trying to talk to a rock.
Never try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig.
Never try to roll in the mud with a pig - you both get dirty and the pig enjoys it.
