First of all, does a California Man have to explain why he would throw a hot dog at Tiger Woods. I think its obvious...it takes alot of courage...and its epic. Anyway, he explained:

I was researching for a post about the United States funding the UN, and I couldn't get it out of my head - why hasn't somebody thrown a hot dog at Tiger Woods? That would be courageous and epic!
I will say this - I'm going to watch that derned movie Drive...

Waste of a good hot dog! But then what's good about a hot dog?
This isn't a "He who is without sin cast the first hot dog" story is it?
Was it one of the good kosher hot dogs, a brot, a turkey frank, or one of the really cheap crap dogs? I'd think that would be telling.
Also the size of the hot dog might reveal whether the thrower thought that he inherited dimensions from his negro father or his Thai mother. (foot long vs Vienna sausage)
There are so many details missing that my analysis is falling short.
That kind of courageous epicness merits some kind of fancy medal with Obama's face on it.
