White Guilt...

"Look friend, white suburban moms...eh!"
In our latest example of White Guilt, Arne Duncan - Secretary of Education, stated, "..white suburban moms who all of the sudden, their child isn't as brilliant as they thought they were and their school isn't quite as good as they thought they were."

Duncan was commenting on opposition to Common Core.  Instead of addressing the concerns, he decided to make some enemies, and expose himself...verbally.

Does Duncan:

a) Not like white people

b) Not like suburban people

c) Not like schools that excel

d) Not like his intelligence to be challenged

I choose (d).  Duncan is a top-down kind of guy, why would people on the bottom (suburban mom's) know better than him?  He wanted to be heard by people in certain demographics (education activists, people paying attention and spending money in the inner cities), and in his little mind, that is all that was listening.  Based on his later apology, he realized that other demographics were listening too.

What if he left out race? What if he said, "suburban mom's..."?  We would not have heard it, it would not have been reported.

Secretary Duncan, money and federal programs will not save inner city students from poor educations...and neither will changing the tests.  You won't believe this, but it takes a family, not a village...

Duncan, and those progressives like him, are like the "educators" in Huxley's Brave New World. In that world, children are created, "decanted", and raised in "hatcheries and conditioning centers", where they are divided castes and designed to fulfill predetermined positions within the social and economic strata of the World State. The conditioning system eliminates the need for professional competitiveness; people are bred to do their jobs and cannot desire another.

Any who don't share in this vision of the Brave New World are branded, "savage". Therefore it follows that sub-humans (Republicans) that have a different view of the world than he does, are completely invalid.

I've seen Duncan's type before. And I'm not surprised that he's a racist.

His comment is also racist against non-whites, who presumably do NOT care about what the school curriculum contains.

Duncan needs to go bobbing for apples or something.

I fear that there are not enough main stream average joes and janes out there willing to go the distance to stop the likes of Duncan...

Duncan doesn't like to hear from inferior people that if you want it to fail have the federal government do it.
